My first trip to London!

Hello lovely people,

I just got back from my amazing break to London with Callum and just thought I’d share what an incredible time we had and some picture I took.

We stayed for 4 nights and visited some truly amazing places: the British museum, national history museum, Russell Square gardens, Wembley stadium, the science museum and the imperial war museum. There were so many things we wanted to squeeze in and, unfortunately, some of those things we just couldn’t fit in so are on the list for our next visit (at the very top of the list is going to see a west end show!)

We stayed at the President hotel on Russell Square – a stones throw away from the British museum and from the tube, which was fab. The hotel was gorgeous and I highly recommend it to anyone if you visit London. We also went to Wembley to see an NFL game. Although I’m not a sporty person, visiting Wembley was fantastic and the NFL game was amazing. The atmosphere was indescribable. I’ve never, ever experienced anything so atmospheric before!

I could probably go on for ages about what we seen, what we did and how much I loved London, but that would be boring so I’ll stop there. I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and have an amazing weekend. I’ll attach some pictures on the end, in case anybody wants to have a little nosey at our trip. Thank you for reading!

Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick and general update

Hello lovely people,

After a fabulous 6 weeks off, I went back to work on Monday and that’s why I haven’t updated my blog for a while! I haven’t had a chance to buy anything (much) new or had the chance to do a blog post until now! I hope you’re having a lovely week and this is just a little update on me and a little review on a new make-up product I bought (well, got a sample of!).

After buying all new skin care products last week, can I just say my skin looks the best it’s ever looked in my life. It’s so soft and I have very few dark spots or imperfections and I’ve had no break outs – which is just amazing. One of the new products I bought was the Superdrug naturally radiant eye cream which I instantly fell in love with as it totally brightens up my whole eye area and I still love it for that buuuuuut unfortunately it’s not really shifting my dark circles or the fine lines I have under my eye so I’m on the hunt, still, for an eye cream that can do that job – any suggestions would be amazing, please and thank you.

Last week I ordered some samples from feelunique which finally came yesterday and one of the samples was The Balm meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick in the shade “committed”. I was expecting to get some in a little packet but got a miniature lipstick which is so cute! I really like the colour as well and it’s super creamy and smells just like After Eights – it’s always a bonus when things smell of chocolate. After trying the sample and wearing it at work, I think I’ll defiantly be purchasing a full sized one in the near future. As I say, I love the colour and it stayed on for ages and smells amazing.

So there we are – just a little updated and review as I haven’t done anything in ages. If anyone could recommend an eye cream that battles dark circles and fine lines, I’d be really grateful! Have an amazing rest of the week and weekend and thank you for reading.

Mary-Lou Manizer update

Hello lovely people,

Yesterday I posted about my first feelunique order and talked about The Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter by The Balm – which I tried out, on my face, this morning.

This is just going to be a little update on the highlighter – what I think about it with some pictures of the end result.

The highlighter is quite pigmented so it was no problem applying it to the brush and none of the product, that I could see, fell off the brush. It felt very soft when I applied it onto my face and the colour is beautiful. I really like the colour – as I said yesterday, it’s a peachy/golden colour with not too much sparkle/glitter. The highlighter gives a really nice glow that you could build up if you wanted to. I applied two little sweeps of highlighter to get my preferred look but just one sweep provided a nice, natural glow and I imagine you could add more and more, if you wanted to create a more noticeable glow.

I’ll definitely continue using this highlighter because I’ve just fallen in love with it already! It’s definitely a 5 out of 5 for me.

I took a standard selfie and then some close ups in different lighting to try and show case the glow. Thank you for reading my update, I hope you’ve enjoyed it!
